About the School:

I am focused on teaching music in a relaxed, informal setting. You will not only learn how to play the guitar, but understand music in general, and how to apply it to your playing. Lessons are private, as it’s easier to learn while receiving undivided attention. No prior experience is needed, as we will cover everything from the start: how the guitar works, how your strings work, notes, chords, scales, finger exercising, rhythm, time signatures, basics in how to read music, tablature, how to tune the guitar, how to look after your guitar, and even what to look out for when purchasing a guitar. You can take lessons on your acoustic, classical, or electric guitar.

If you do have prior experience, we will continue from wherever you are with your playing. Both beginners and intermediate players will get the opportunity to choose their personal favourite songs, and learn how to play them, as it’s easier to learn while having fun.

As the goal is to keep the lessons as informal and relaxed as possible, I don’t do exams or grading.

All ages are welcome!

About Me:

I started playing guitar at the age of 9, and have been playing ever since. During my high school years, I started playing in bands and doing live shows. I’ve appeared on stage with bands such as Fourteen40, Black Era, Wolraad Woltemade, Babette, Jon Delinger, as well as various worship bands in church. I feature in 3 music videos that are being played on the music channel, MK, as well as on various songs aired on national radio. I’ve been teaching music since 2008, and I have seen a lot of young guitarists grow in their musicianship!
